Which patents are eligible?

Enter a public patent publication number from any country, such as a US, EP or WO reference. CUPAS checks that its title, abstract, application details, inventors, dates, description and published claims are available. A PCT filing is not required. WO records are assessed as international application publications, not national patent grants.

Why can I see a title but cannot continue?

A title and abstract alone do not provide enough information. CUPAS lists missing publication details, description or claims and blocks payment and reports until they are accessible. Public document availability does not establish ownership, enforceability or financial value.

Which public databases are used?

Publication previews identify their data source. CUPAS uses Google Patents and, when connected, EPO OPS for supported WO full documents and US publication details. A US title-and-abstract preview does not establish full-text access or eligibility for valuation. The AI service researches accessible public sources and cites them in the report. Availability and full-text coverage vary. No MyIPO database connection is used.

How do payments and free test codes work?

When coupon ordering is enabled, enter your CUPAS coupon directly on our checkout page. A valid unused code covers one matching report tier in full: Screening RM500, Standard RM2,500 or Advanced RM5,000. Your total is RM0 and genuine AI research starts after confirmation. Card checkout, when enabled, uses Stripe and accepts separate Stripe promotion codes. Our demo example remains an illustrative simulation.

How does AI help with the valuation?

Once enabled, AI examines the public patent and researches potential applications, market evidence, risks and next steps. The report separates sourced facts, assumptions and hypotheses. Monetary estimates are included only when sufficient evidence supports the selected valuation scope. An insufficient-evidence conclusion is a valid outcome. AI research is not a certified valuation; qualified professional review is needed before investment, financing or legal decisions.

Which report should I choose?

Patent Screening is an initial opportunity review without a monetary estimate. Standard Valuation assesses monetary scenarios where evidence supports them. Advanced Commercialisation adds deeper application analysis and a development roadmap.

Can a university submit its patents?

Yes. An authorised researcher, technology transfer office or representative can request a report. Please obtain the necessary institutional permission. Further financial or development information may be needed.

Will the report secure funding?

The report can help explain the opportunity and development needs to potential funders. It does not guarantee funding, lending eligibility, commercial success or acceptance by a particular institution.

When will I receive my report?

After checkout is confirmed, research begins automatically. Your order page displays progress and offers an A4 PDF when the report is complete. Research may take several minutes, depending on source access and provider availability. Keep your order reference and this browser. Delivery by email is not currently included. If research fails, the order page explains the next step.

Is this an official MyIPO service?

CUPAS Valuation Service is powered by Siaraya. It is not currently presented as an approved or endorsed MyIPO service. Any future use of MyIPO branding is subject to written agreement.

Privacy notice

CUPAS Valuation Service is operated by Siaraya. Use public patent numbers only. Do not submit unpublished inventions or confidential information.

Patent and AI processing

Your patent number is sent through our server to public patent sources to retrieve publication information. After checkout confirmation, the public patent content and research request are sent to the AI provider, OpenAI, for analysis and supporting public-source research. The resulting report is stored with your order and contains the public sources, findings and limitations.

Payment and order information

Stripe processes card checkout, contact email and payment details. CUPAS does not receive your full card number. CUPAS coupon orders do not send payment details to Stripe. We store a cryptographic coupon identifier and its redemption, the patent selection, report tier, funding method, payment reference where applicable, amount and discount, order status and generated report to fulfil the service. An essential browser cookie controls access to your order. Hosting and service providers may process technical logs, and provider processing may take place outside Malaysia.

Keep your order reference and use the same browser to access the order page. For order or privacy questions, email support@cupas.my and include the order reference where relevant. No advertising trackers are added by this service. The separate demo records selections in the page URL and generates its illustrative PDF in your browser.
